Quotables:

Alexis DeJoria, Driver

Overall we had a pretty good qualifying weekend. We made it down the track every time except that last run in Q4. We were trying to go for No. 1 qualifier during that session. The conditions were really good and we knew we were safely qualified, so we were trying to really push it. Unfortunately, we just didn’t make it down there, and after it was all said and done, ended up in the No. 12 spot on the ladder.

Although we didn’t qualify in the top half of the field, we had consistent runs during the first three sessions, and that’s key; consistency is what most likely will win races on Sunday. As long as you’re qualified, that’s all that matters. The last two times we were out here in Vegas we went to the semis, and we’re looking to go at least that far again tomorrow.
